Thermal Dynamics to Demonstrate Market-Leading Plasma Cutting Systems At Schweissen and Schneiden 2017
Thermal Dynamics, a world leader in plasma cutting technologies, will be exhibiting on Stand 13E90 in Hall 13 at Schweissen & Schneiden, which takes place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in, Düsseldorf, Germany from 25-29 September 2017. The company will have live demonstrations and static displays of a number of plasma cutting products and systems, as well as innovative and cost-saving consumables. Engineers from Thermal Dynamics will be available during the exhibition to discuss customers' mild steel and non-ferrous plasma cutting applications.
One of the highlights will be an Ultra-Cut XT system, incorporating an iCNC XT controller, table and extraction/filtration system. Ultra-Cut ...
Ultra-Cut XT systems deliver premium precision plasma cutting on mild steel, even at higher thicknesses using HeavyCut technology to deliver extraordinary parts life and cut quality. Previously limited to 300 Amps and above, HeavyCut is now available for 200A oxygen plasma applications to provide improved cut quality and substantially longer parts life than the previous 200A consumables setup.
To start cutting with HeavyCut at 200A, simply replace the existing 200A electrode with the new 200A HeavyCut electrode. All other torch consumables and cutting parameters remain the same.
The new 200A electrode features multiple hafnium inserts which more than doubles the parts life of not only ...
There are two ways to maximize consumables life and lower the operating cost of an automated plasma cutter. The first option is to have a plasma cutting and CNC programming expert on staff who can optimize parameters for every step of every cutting routine. The second option is to use an integrated system and a CNC controller with the intelligence of a plasma cutting and programming expert built inside of it, along with a suite software tools that enable machine operations to optimize consumables life with point and click simplicity (Fig. 1).For making heavier cuts, such as on mild steel 1" and thicker, new consumables technology can also increase arc starts to 900 @ 400 amps or 1,500 @ 300 ...
The intelligence available inside the controller of an automated plasma system saves time and money, expands a shop's capabilities, overcomes personnel limitations and improves quality … but only if users avail themselves of this intelligence. Smart phones are a good analogy. There are more than one million apps available, and people who take advantage of them for specific purposes operate more efficiently than those who don't, whether it's counting calories (MyFitnessPal) or finding the name of a song (Shazam*).Carrying this analogy over into the business world, fabricators that explore the powerful capabilities of a CNC's "apps" also operate more efficiently and profitably. To over-simplify, ...
